  • The oil spill (gusher) in the Gulf is the technological joke of the decade.  We don't need to inspect the oil rigs...we need to inspect the MMS or whatever their name has been changed to.

  • If the government was doing its job, there would not have to be the second guessing in knee jerk inspections that put more people in the unemployment lines. Why not reinspect the MMS? That's where the failure is. Its in the government!

  • I picked out several words from this story about not holding back on drilling in the gulf. "the Interior Department failed to provide adequate reasoning..."  I read that to say, The Government failed.... again, and again, and again, and again.

  • Yep.  I knew the Feds were completely in charge all along...especially when I saw they gave the wrong figures on how much oil was spilled.  Almost 100% wrong.  Yep.

  • Has everyone lost their minds. BP is not in trouble. Have you ever heard of insurance against such a calamity? BP has it. While their stock may be going to historic lows, they are covered by you and me! We bailed out AIG, remember? The Feds put up our money to make sure they did not go broke.
